Dr. Ying has the privilege of excellent training and has practiced for over twelve years in the Retina Division at the Wilmer Eye Institute at The Johns Hopkins University. He has sub-specialty training in retina, pediatrics, neuro-ophthalmology and uveitis. In sixteen years of practice, he has treated more than 20,000 patients.

Boston Eye Care Center promises to provide patient-centered service where clinical services are efficient and excellent. Waiting rooms are not necessary at any of our locations, and we have the technology, skill, and expertise to diagnose and treat your eye condition. 

Dr. Howard Ying

Howard S. Ying, M.D., Ph.D.

 

Dr. Ying focuses on medical and surgical diseases of the eye. His special clinical interests include disorders of the retinal vasculature, the vitreoretinal interface, retinal degenerations, ocular motility, and ocular inflammation. Diseases treated include the following: retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, age-related macular degeneration, hereditary retinal disease, strabismus, amblyopia, and uveitis. He was a Associate professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, and member of the faculty of the Department of Ophthalmology at Boston University School of Medicine and Director of the Electrophysiology Service at Boston University Eye Associates. He sees patients at Boston Eye Care Center. He is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
